Japan-Estonia Policy Dialogue (Dec. 2013)

Mr Katsuro Kitagawa, Director of Western Europe Division, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan and Mr Taavi Kotka, Deputy Secretary General on ICT, Ministry of Economy and Communications of Estonia,  reiterated the importance of co-operation between Japan which aspires to become one of the most leading IT countries in the world, and Estonia which promotes its advanced e-governance.
The two countries shared information about fundamental policy and specific efforts to promote e-governance. As for cyber security, both sides exchanged views and discussed the current situation concerning their basic strategy, cooperation in international community, cyber security policy including rule making, cyber defense, etc. for possible cooperation in the future.
