Call for Participants: "Momiji – Japanese Autumn in Estonia 2026"
2026/7/8
Application Guidelines

The Embassy of Japan in Estonia, in collaboration with the Japanese Cultural Society in Estonia (Jaapani Kultuuri Koda), will host "Momiji – Japanese Autumn in Estonia 2026", a series of Japan-related events from September to November 2026. This initiative aims to widely showcase the rich, modern, and diverse appeal of Japanese culture in Estonia, providing opportunities to experience Japanese artistry, spirit, and creativity, thereby deepening mutual understanding and friendship between our two nations.
🍁 The much-anticipated second edition is here!
Now entering its second year, Momiji is set to become a beloved autumn tradition in Estonia. The series offers a rich array of experiences befitting the season — art, sports, and culinary delights — bringing to life the depth of Japanese sensibility, artistic expression, and spirit.
🍁 A great success: Looking back on Momiji 2025
The inaugural edition, Momiji 2025, featured a diverse range of events across Estonia — including Japanese Culture Day, a Japanese Film Festival, a school visit program at local high schools, Japanese martial arts competitions, concerts, a bookstore collaboration event, and the "Tokumaru Japanese Market," which welcomed a large number of visitors — generating an enthusiastic response from audiences throughout the country.

Building on the success of Momiji 2025, we are now inviting organizations, municipalities, and individuals throughout Estonia to submit their Japan-related events for inclusion in this year's program. By bringing together events from across the country under the "Momiji 2026" umbrella and promoting them collectively, we hope to reach even more people and share the magic of Japanese culture.
We look forward to hearing from you!
