Code of Conduct for Participating Organizations and Companies

To participate in the “Momiji – Japanese Autumn in Estonia 2025” event series, all organizations and companies must adhere to the following Code of Conduct, which aligns with the spirit and purpose of the Momiji initiative.
 
1. Respect and Promote Japanese Culture and Values
  • Strive to accurately present and introduce Japanese culture, encompassing both traditional and modern forms.
  • Avoid stereotypes, inaccurate portrayals, and any expressions that excessively distort Japanese culture for commercial purposes.
 
2. Respect the Neutral and Public Position of the Embassy of Japan in Estonia and the Japanese Cultural Society in Estonia (Jaapani Kultuuri Koda)
  • Activities and displays with political, religious, or purely commercial agendas are strictly prohibited.
  • Understand that the primary goal of this event is to promote Japanese culture and foster friendship between Japan and Estonia, and act in accordance with this objective.
 
3. Cooperation and Fair Operation
  • Maintain a cooperative and respectful attitude toward other exhibitors, organizers, and visitors.
 
4. Uphold Safety and Hygiene Standards
  • Comply with all safety regulations of the event venue, including those concerning open flames, food handling, and exhibition materials.
  • Always maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and orderliness in event spaces.
 
5. Compliance with Laws and Intellectual Property Rights
  • Do not infringe on intellectual property rights such as trademarks and copyrights (e.g., be careful when using anime, manga, or music).
  • Comply with all laws and regulations of Estonia.
  • Unauthorized sales may be prohibited, so please confirm with individual event organizers in advance.
 
6. Other Provisions
  • Participating organizations and companies are solely responsible for any problems or disputes that arise during their participation in Momiji. The Embassy of Japan in Estonia and the Japanese Cultural Society in Estonia (Jaapani Kultuuri Koda) bear no responsibility.
  • A designated representative or agent must be available to respond and communicate promptly throughout the event.
  • In addition to this Code of Conduct, all participants must cooperate and comply with the rules set by individual event organizers, the Japanese Embassy and the Japanese Cultural Society in Estonia (Jaapani Kultuuri Koda).
