Together with Tarmo PIHL, CEO
On 24th August, Ambassador Hajime KITAOKA visited “MinuDoc (My Doctor)”, an Estonian enterprise, heading towards the most advanced in online medical diagnosis, which is located in Tallinn, the capital city.
He was escorted by Dr. Hiroshi TAKENAKA, Researcher of the Embassy and a medical doctor.

The Ambassador was welcomed by Mr. Tarmo PIHL, Founder and CEO, and his briefing on the activities of “MinuDoc” started at its conference room.
The enterprise was founded in 2018.
Its service to be provided is the online medical diagnosis, which has come to draw a lot of attentions as the result of the upsurge of COVID19 infection since last year.
To receive its online diagnosis, no special hardware or downloading of software like applications is necessary.
Only by making an access to the site of “MinuDoc”, using smartphones, pads or PCs, it becomes possible to receive the online diagnosis.
This system continues to evolve, gradually replacing the human judgement with AI.
Those doctors who would like to join this system register themselves for the system, and now it becomes possible to give online diagnosis from anywhere in Estonia to patients.
There are doctors, who are too busy in big cities, while there are doctors, who have enough time to spare at remote areas.
How to bridge this gap?
By using “MinuDoc” system, those doctors who have time could register for the system to get connected with patients, and provide them with online diagnosis in the form of “cloud”, which could bridge the above-mentioned gap eventually.
Mr. PIHL said that Estonia has not developed so much in the field of medical treatment in the past 10 years.
And now, his “MinuDoc” is expected to bring innovation to Estonia.
The Ambassador praised “MinuDoc”, saying “as the result of COVID19, it becomes more and more difficult to receive face-to-face diagnosis. Here lies the big potential of online diagnosis”.
The Ambassador, so far in Estonia, has come across so many things, which are so “futuristic” with such excitements, and this visit gave the Ambassador another excitement to come across one more “futuristic” in the field of medical treatment!
He would like to express his sincerest gratitude to Mr. PIHL for accepting him in such a warm manner under COVID19!
