Ambassador paid a courtesy call to H.E. Mr. Raivo Aeg, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Estonia

On 4th February, Ambassador Kitaoka visited the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Estonia to pay courtesy call to H.E. Mr. Raivo Aeg, the honorable Minister.

The meeting was also attended by Ms. Maria Suurna, Advisor for International Relations.From the Japanese Embassy, Mr. Yoshimura, the First Secretary, and Mr. Shigenari, a Second Secretary attended.

Ambassador told the Minister “there is a growing interest in Japan in the introduction of IT to legal affairs in Estonia”.
He expressed his sincerest gratitude to the Minister for his Ministry’s meticulous briefing, so kindly given to the Japanese delegations. Ambassador also asked for the Ministry’s continuing support for the upcoming visit of the Japanese visitors this year, and Minister Aeg promised for the cooperation. It was followed by the Minister’s briefing to the Ambassador on the planned introduction of AI and IT to the court cases in Estonia.

The meeting finished in a friendly manner with the Japanese Government’s present of “Kiyomizu-yaki” pottery, which was handed to the Minister by the Ambassador.
