Ambassador KITAOKA delivered a speech at the Conference to celebrate “50th Anniversary of Estonian Karate”

Together with Mr. RAHUMÄGI, the Chairman of the Federation Speech by the Ambassador
On 2nd October, Ambassador Hajime KITAOKA attended the Conference to celebrate “50th Anniversary of Estonian Karate” to deliver a speech.
This has been materialized with the kind invitation by Mr. Jaanus RAHUMÄGI, the Chairman of the Estonian Karate Federation.
Estonia Karate has cerebrated its 50th Anniversary last year, and in January, the Ambassador delivered a speech at the ceremony, and in February, he delivered another speech at the opening ceremony of the Memorial Plaque.
The Conference took place in a big hall of Radison Blu Hotel Olümpia in Tallinn, the Capital City.
Ambassador KITAOKA cerebrated 50th Anniversary form the bottom of his heart, saying in his speech “50th Anniversary is, of course, something to be celebrated. But in case of the Estonian Karate, it is even more so, because it is such a proud history of 50 years, created by the Estonian Karate players, who survived with their firm determination, training themselves in remote islands, never succumbed to the oppression during the dark era of the Soviet Union”.
It was followed by a succession of introductions of the history of the Estonian Karare, starting with that of Mr. Heikki VALLASTE, President of Estonia-Japan Association (video appearance), and the others including that of Mr. Eduard TINN, leading the Estonian Karate Federation during the Soviet era, who, with his wife, shared the same table with the Ambassador.
Thereafter, to remember the publication of the biography of Mr. Rein SIIM, known as the Father of Estonian Karate (Karate isa), entitled “COURSE (KULG)” authored by Ms. Marion PAJUMETS, the author herself introduced her book.
Finally, a photo session took place with all the participants, and the Conference finished in very much a lively manner!

For the Ambassador, this Conference has become a very precious occasion to further deepen his understanding of the Estonian Karate, and to reconfirm the proudness of the Estonians!
