On 14th December, Ambassador Matsumura paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Defense, Kalle Laanet. They exchanged views on how to further strengthen bilateral relations in the future, reviewing the past defense exchanges between Estonia and Japan.
They also exchanged views on the current and future prospects for Estonia's national defense and the regional affairs, in addition to the importance of promoting cooperation in the fields such as IT, digital, and cyber security including the cooperation at the NATO Cooperative Cyber Defense Center of Excellence (CCDCOE).
