On 10th December, Ambassador Matsumura paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eva-Maria Liimets. They exchanged views on how to further strengthen bilateral relations in the future, reviewing the visit of then Foreign Minister of Japan, Motegi Toshimitsu to Estonia this summer and the excellent performance of the Estonian athletes in the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Games.
In addition to the importance of taking advantage of the momentum of the 100 Years of Friendship between Estonia and Japan to strengthen cooperation in the fields such as digital, cyber-security and economic exchange, they also exchanged views on regional affairs and cooperation in the international arena.
