The Japanese Embassy in Estonia held the Emperor’s Birthday Reception

On February 20th, the Japanese Embassy in Estonia held the Emperor’s Birthday Reception.
The reception was attended by many guests active in various fields, including the Minister of Justice, Mr. Kalle Laanet.
The reception started with the national anthems of both countries by Vox Populi choir. After the national anthems, Ambassador Matsumura introduced various progresses made in various fields and expressed his hope for even stronger Japan-Estonia relations.
Then, Mr. Raimond Kaljulaid, the Chairman of Estonia-Japan parliamentary group proposed a toast.
At the reception, two Japan-related companies, (Marubeni Corporation and Mitsubishi Corporation) presented their products in their booths.
In addition, JETRO (The Japan External Trade Organization) provided us with Japanese food products, and Uda city in Nara prefecture, which signed a MOU with Saaremaa city last summer, provided us with medicinal candies, a specialty of the city.
