On September 11, Ambassador NAKAMURA Koichiro paid a courtesy call on newly appointed Director General for Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Lauri Kuusing. The two sides confirmed that bilateral cooperation has been steadily advancing, including high-level exchanges and cooperation in the field of defense technology, and exchanged views on prospects for future cooperation as well as on a range of international issues of mutual interest.
They also shared the view that bilateral cooperation will be further deepened at the Japan-Baltic Cooperation Dialogue to be held in Riga next week.
