On July 7, Ambassador NAKAMURA Koichiro paid a courtesy call on Prof. Mart Saarma, President of the Estonian Academy of Sciences.
The President gave the Ambassador a detailed explanation regarding the history and activities of the Academy, particularly its cooperation with the Government and the Riigikogu in the field of science and its contributions to policymaking, as well as the Academy's recent role in the security and defense field. The Ambassador and the President also exchanged views on the possibilities of cooperation between the academic communities of Japan and Estonia.
The Embassy of Japan will continue to strive to further deepen scientific and academic exchanges between Japan and Estonia.
