On April 29, the Government of Japan announced the recipients of the Spring 2026 Decorations. Mr. YOSHINO Tadahiko, Chairman of the Japan-Estonia Friendship Association, was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays. The Embassy of Japan in Estonia extends its heartfelt congratulations to Chairman Yoshino.
In the 1990s, Chairman Yoshino diligently built close relationships with key figures in Estonia shortly after its re-independence, fostering people-to-people diplomacy. As a result, he made significant contributions to strengthening diplomatic relations between Japan and Estonia. In recent years, as Chairman of the Japan-Estonia Friendship Association, he has greatly contributed to promoting friendship and economic ties between the two countries.
