2026/4/9
On April 9, Ambassador NAKAMURA Koichiro invited Director Ekke Nõmm and 17 students from the Estonian School of Diplomacy to his residence, where he delivered a lecture on Japan’s diplomacy.

The Ambassador explained the major challenges facing Japanese diplomacy and Japan’s efforts to address them, particularly Japan’s policy of upholding a free and open international order based on the rule of law.

The students listened attentively to the lecture, followed by a lively Q&A session. Students coming from not only Estonia but also Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Kenya, and the Netherlands, this seminar provided a valuable opportunity for these future diplomats to deepen their understanding of Japan’s diplomacy and the Free and Open Indo-Pacific.
