Ambassador NAKAMURA delivered opening remarks at the seminar related to the JICA and ESTDEV Ukraine Reconstruction Support Project

On January 23, Ambassador NAKAMURA Koichiro attended the construction seminar by Nichiha Corporation, which is introducing ceramic-based exterior wall materials to the Ukraine reconstruction support project “Modular Housing for IDP’s in Brusyliv, Zhytomyr Region” jointly implemented by JICA and the Estonian Centre for International Development (ESTDEV), and delivered an opening address.
In his remarks, the Ambassador, while referring to Japan’s support to Ukraine to date, emphasized that it is extremely important for our like-minded partner Estonia to cooperate in providing support to Ukraine, and that this initiative is a leading project that exemplifies our shared values and commitment to humanitarian assistance.
This seminar, in connection with the first introduction of Nichiha’s exterior wall materials to the Estonian modular house manufacturing company (Harmet OÜ) participating in this project, was held by inviting modular house manufacturing companies from the Baltic countries and Ukrainian companies.
