Ambassador NAKAMURA and Mrs. NAKAMURA pay a courtesy call on world-renowned conductor Mr. Paavo Järvi and world-class violinist Midori

     On October 15th, Ambassador NAKAMURA Koichiro and Mrs. NAKAMURA met with conductor Mr. Paavo Järvi and violinist Ms. Midori, who performed at a concert at the Estonian Concert Hall in celebration of the 90th anniversary of the birth of world-renowned Estonian composer Arvo Pärt. They offered their heartfelt congratulations and gratitude for their superb performance of the profound music of this great Estonian composer.
     Maestro Järvi is not only a world-renowned conductor, but also one of Japan's most highly respected musicians. He served as Chief Conductor of the NHK Symphony Orchestra from 2015 to 2022 and remains its Honorary Conductor.
     Ms. Midori, born in Japan, is one of top contemporary violinists in the world, having performed worldwide since her debut at the age of 11 with the New York Philharmonic under the baton of Maestro Zubin Mehta.
     We are very pleased and proud that those world-renowned artists, who has deep ties to Japan, has performed a wonderful work by the Estonia's leading composer in front of an Estonian audience.
