Japan’s Friendship Ties Program “MIRAI” 2025-2026 application is now open!

M I R A I： Mutual-understanding, Intellectual Relations and Academic Exchange Initiative
MIRAI is intended for graduate, undergraduate students, and young professionals from Europe, Central Asia and Caucasus region.
The program invites theme-oriented groups of promising young leaders who are expected to play an active role in Europe and provides opportunities to have intellectual exchanges with Japanese experts, scholars, and students from the same generation.
The MIRAI program aims to deepen participants’ understanding of Japan and its policy, to promote mutual understanding, and thus build a basis for future friendship and cooperation between Japan and their regions.
All participants are expected to share Japan’s diplomacy and the charm of Japan proactively through social media and other media during and after the program. This program is entitled as the "MIRAI" with the Japanese word MIRAI (pronounce like / "me-rye") which means "Future".
