Ambassador NAKAMURA exchanges views with Mr. HIGASHIHARA, Chairman of the 32nd EU-Japan Fest Japan Committee

    On August 24, Ambassador NAKAMURA Koichiro and his wife hosted Mr. HIGASHIHARA Toshiaki, Chairman of the 32nd EU-Japan Fest Japan Committee and Executive Chairman of Hitachi, Ltd., and his wife at the ambassador's residence for an exchange of views. Mr. HIGASHIHARA had attended an international youth music festival in Tartu featuring the Sorsiere & Sorsiere Jr. Choir from Ise City and the Laulupesa Choir from Tartu City, followed by a visit to Tallinn. The Ambassador and Mr. HIGASHIHARA confirmed the significant contribution of Japan's participation to the success of Tartu 2024 and its role in furthering mutual understanding. They also exchanged views on the current state and future possibilities of cooperation between Japan and Estonia in the economic field, particularly in the infrastructure sector.
