Ambassador NAKAMURA delivered opening remarks at the JICC Seminar on Nuclear Power

On August 21, Ambassador NAKAMURA Koichiro attended the Seminar on Nuclear Power Development “Preparation for Estonian Nuclear Power Program” held at the Ministry of Climate in Tallinn, organized by the JAIF International Cooperation Center (JICC), and delivered an opening address.
In his remarks the ambassador emphasized that as Japan and Estonia are like-minded peace-loving countries sharing common values, it is very important for his country to cooperate with Estonia in the fields of energy security policy, and that Japan is willing to support Estonia's consideration of introducing nuclear energy.
This seminar marks the fourth in a series. Estonia is currently examining introduction of nuclear power plants (SMR). Japan has been supporting to Estonia's considerations in various possible ways, including holding seminars and organizing study visits to Japan.
