Ambassador NAKAMURA exchanged views with Chairman of National Defence Committee of Riigikogu and its members

On June 9, Ambassador NAKAMURA Koichiro invited the Chairman of National Defense Committee of Riigikogu, Mr. Kalev Stoicescu, Deputy Chairman Mr. Leo Kunnas and members Mr. Raimond Kaljulaid, Mr. Mati Raidma, Advisor/Head of Secretariat Mr. Aivar Engel to the Ambassador’s residence for exchange of views. Mr. Kaljulaid is also the Chairman of Estonia-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group.
They discussed the current state and future of security and defense cooperation between Japan and Estonia, as well as the international situation surrounding the two countries.
There is great potential for expanding cooperation between Japan and Estonia in various fields, including security and defense, and the Embassy of Japan is committed to working to further strengthen relations with Estonia.
