The award ceremony of the World Children’s Haiku Contest Regional Competition in Estonia and 5th Japanese Culture Day

On November 9th, the award ceremony of the World Children's Haiku Contest regional competition in Estonia and the 5th Japanese Culture Day was held at Pelgulinna State Gymnasium in Tallinn, which Ambassador Nakamura Koichiro attended. At the award ceremony of the Haiku Contest, the grand prize and award winning works selected from over 700 submissions were read out and the Ambassador gave a congratulatory speech to the winners. At the Japanese Culture Day, various events were held, including a koto (Japanese traditional strings-instruments) performance, a calligraphy class, a martial arts demonstration, and an origami workshop. At the opening ceremony of the Japanese Culture Day the Ambassador also gave his congratulatory speech.
