On March 30, Ambassador Matsumura had a meeting with the Chairman of Tallinn City Council, Jevgeni Ossinovski, who has formerly served as Minister of Education and Research and Minister of Health and Labour. They exchanged views mainly on the situation of education in Estonia and Estonian-Japanese relations.
In particular, reviewing episodes from the Chairman's past visits to Japan, they discussed the characteristics and challenges of the education system in Estonia, the importance of strengthening local partnership and economic relations between the two countries.
