On 1st February, Ambassador Matsumura paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Finance, Keit Pentus-Rosimannus. They exchanged views mainly on the current situation surrounding energy and taxation system in Estonia.
In particular, they discussed Estonia's response to energy price increase, the current status, challenges, and future prospects for its renewable energy policy, as well as the importance of strengthening cooperation in these fields, and exchanged views on the application of the global minimum tax rate to Estonia.
