On 26th January, Ambassador Matsumura paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Chairman of the Estonia-Japan parliamentary group, Sven Sester. The Ambassador exchanged views with him who has been a member of the group for many years, mainly on the current status of the Estonian-Japanese economic relations and future prospects in this field.
Referring to the activities of Mr. Kaido Höövelson, former Ozeki sumo wrestler Baruto serving as the Chairman of the group, they discussed the importance of digitalization, further utilization of the e-residency system of Estonia, and recovery of tourism in the post-Covid era.
