On April 12, Ambassador Matsumura attended the ceremony of a book donation by the Read Japan Project in the Pärnu Central Library.
This project is conducted by the Nippon Foundation with the assistance of the Tokyo Foundation for Policy Research to promote understanding of Japan through donation of Japan-related books in English to universities and libraries.
In his speech to the staff of the library and the guests attending the ceremony, Ambassador Matsumura expressed that knowledge is more important than money and congratulated the library for being selected as a successful applicant for the project.
We hope the 33 books will help spread the Japanese culture and that many readers will enjoy these books.
